When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something... unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy                                                                     of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has                                                                      me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this                                                                          alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don't kill him first, that is

My Review:
This is the first book in the Lux series. Obsidian is about a girl named Katy ( she is a book blogger, very relatable). I knew by the first paragraph that I would love this book. Katy's mom moves her to a new town to get a fresh new start. What they don’t realize is they have just moved into a house full of aliens.

I loved this book. It was so fun and so fast paced. The romance is the novel is a little frustrating because it is so dragged out. I loved the characters and the character development. It was very easy to forget everything and get swept away by the story.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun paranormal series to dive into.

  1. I've heard of Obsidian countless of times and read so many raving reviews, but never did I hear someone mention that the guy in the story is an alien! When I read that I was very taken aback. Now I know what makes the story unique. Have you read the other books in the series?
