Something strange is happening at the Orsk furniture superstore in Cleveland, Ohio. Every morning, employees arrive to find broken Kjerring bookshelves, shattered Glans water goblets, and smashed Liripip wardrobes. Sales are down, security cameras reveal nothing, and store managers are panicking.

To unravel the mystery, three employees volunteer to work a nine-hour dusk-till-dawn shift. In the dead of the night, they’ll patrol the empty showroom floor, investigate strange sights and sounds, and encounter horrors that defy the imagination.

My Review:
First things first I love the main character Amy! She is sarcastic and opinionated and kind of sassy. I just really enjoyed her. One of the best things about this novel, is the fact that it is based in a store like Ikea. It is so easy to actually picture everything and picture the situations because Ikea is such a well known store. The reader can really get involved in the story. The beginning of the chapters have pictures of furniture ( as a catalog would) that get incorporated into the upcoming chapter. This was a great way to make it possible for me to actually picture what was happening. Overall I loved this book. It was scary but still funny. I did wish that it had more of the horror aspect but it was still a great book.

  1. Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix really does sound like a great book :) And other reviewers have said almost the same thing so I'm trusting that this book is actually pretty good. I think the front of the cover is funny too because anyone who doesn't know what they're looking at would think it is a catalog. The main character also sounds pretty awesome! I love characters who have some spunk in them ^_^ I can't wait to read Horrorstor!
